Getting DC power for microcontroller

I'm installing a relay replacing a switch in a wall box, with a microcontroller to control it, and a 120v ac to 5v dc converter. I'm trying to find out how to power the power converter and the microcontroller. The box has two switches, one controls a light, and the one being replaced controls an outlet, I am using the relay to control the outlet. Where should I draw power from? Do I need to bring a new line? If I draw power from the light switch, it works, but loses power once the lights are turned on.
