Well I’d never heard of these so I googled. Their website explains how to fold them for storage at the end of the season so they’re clearly not a one season only planter.

Depends on the brand - there are many different ones that use different fabric. So it all depends on exactly which ones you are asking about. And climate makes a big difference too. So what is yours? Where are you located?

For me in my location and climate, with care and winter storage inside I can get 3 seasons out of Black Magic and Hydro Crunch brands as they are much thicker fabric. Viagrow are thin. Root Pouch brand - some are great, some thin and poor.

Since the words Grow Tubs were capitalised I assumed the OP meant these rather than other brands.

You may be right floral as "Grow Tubs" is just the name GardensAlive gives their particular product. But the term is also a generic one widely used in the industry for any of the many brands of growing containers made from fabric and someone new to them (like the OP) may not know that.

If the GardensAlive product is the one in question then while they are good for a couple of seasons IME (depending on type of use and climate exposure), I would suggest that there are much better similar products available. It would be worth Julie's time to research other brands of 'fabric grow pots' before buying.

I don't have a Grow Tub- mine are Smart Pots. I've had mine for four years so far. I'm awful to them and just leave them in a heap in the backyard all winter (in Ohio). I also have a larger one sitting on the edge of the playground where I teach. Other than some moss at the bottom, that one is holding up very well. It has been there for 3 years and just stays full of soil all year long. Currently those are the only statistics I can give. :)

I know it might not be the same brand you were originally asking about but I bought it to see if it was strong enough to contain horseradish from invading the rest of the yard if buried. The answer is not really but it worked very well for my potatoes on the deck the following year.
