You can plant now. In fact, it is suggested that for southern locations, February and March is the recommended time. That may be a stretch for VA but worth trying :-)) Be aware that bulbs may not reach the same size as fall planted ones would.

I just planted mine in a bed two weeks ago and some in a pot one week ago and they're all doing great! you'll be ok :)

I too did not my garlic planted in fall. I was thinking of putting some in now also. I'm in zone 7b Georgia.

If I do, around when would It be ready to harvest? I only grew it once - planted in late fall and pulled it in June.

abykatz22, Here in GA it will be ready when it gets hot around June. They will be smaller, but still ok. It is best to plant in Fall here and then harvest when it gets hot. Ive done both though. Just size difference.
