Ballin' On a Budget Kitchen Renovation

When we bought our home last Spring, renovating the kitchen was at the very top of our to-do list as we both love to cook. The floor to ceiling shades of brown and builder grade white tile countertops were definitely not our style (were they anyone's?).
Given the plethora of other projects we wanted to get done, our budget was pretty tight at $10k. Thanks to some careful preparation and planning, along with a lot of labor on our part, our all in total came out to just under $13k.
