Eight weeks (small kitchen with no appliance, wall or window moves).

8-12 weeks is average if every single bit of the product is received up front undamaged before demo. Plenty of non average sad stories out there when people do demo and then try to do the design work.

Ours was useable but not completely done at about 8 weeks. We had some delays with backsplash/outlet covers that took an additional few weeks

About 8 weeks, but I didn't have to move gas lines or plumbing, or upgrade electric. And I didn't make any structural changes like moving or taking down walls. Those things all add to the time. You didn't give details as to those things, so who knows.

The cabinets took 5-6 weeks to arrive from the day they were ordered. Keep that in mind.

I had a KD who was fantastic. If you don't, then count on mistakes and change orders adding to the time. We see that a lot on this forum.

Wow, this has been illuminating. We have our first quote from a GC coming up, so I have not yet talked to anyone about how long it will take. Our kitchen is small, but we are gutting it, moving a window, moving the water lines a little, taking out our chimney (which will require some exterior framing), and doing something to vent our water heater (which my husband still has to choose). We are also removing tile from our foyer and putting down some LVT in there. I guess we are in for it.

You've provided no information about what you're having done, so these answers don't mean a lot.

Are you painting and refacing?
Are you moving walls?
Are you tiling?
Are you putting in or taking out windows and doors?
What's happening with appliances or cabinets?
Are you going custom or off the rack?
Are you DIYing or hiring a contractor?
Are you hiring a busy contractor?

Answer some of those questions and your timeline should increase or decrease.

3 - 3 1/2 weeks. We did not start until all cabinets were finished (custom cabinet maker), soapstone slab was at the fabricators, and all workmen scheduled (did not have a gc). Moved 2 appliances and range hood. No tile work, because I do not like to clean grout.

Unfortunately 4 months. Did not replace cabinets but had new drawers made to fill in area where an oven was removed. New doors for below an apron sink. And some new cabinet panels for the appliances. Paint, counters, etc. Big hold up was having wood floors redone six, yes I said six, times. And the refrigerator never showing up. So had to order completely different one from different company which meant another panel had to be made and painted. Such fun. But I’d do it again. Tip: order everything you can and have on hand before starting.

3 months and here's why:

1. Our quartz countertop arrived with a major brown discoloration on one large slab.that had to be replaced and that meant waiting on the shipment to the local store. .

The quartz has been a dream.

2. The cabinet doors, which were to be bright white, arrived with a slight, but definitely visible, yellow tinge. They were replaced and all has been well ever since.

If everything had arrived in perfect condition, we might have had a new kitchen in 8 weeks. But it was a gut job so...I'm not sure of that.

We didn't use a general contractor. Didn't need to. But we're doing a bathroom now, a gut job, and I'm grateful we found a contractor, especially since he has an incredible tile guy on hand.

About three and a half months, which was about twice as along as the GC projected. All design work was done ahead of time and there were no product related delays, except for a few replacement doors for the cabinets. We took the kitchen down to the studs, remodeled a hall bathroom, moved the laundry and the attic access so it was a relatively big "kitchen" remodel.

6 weeks for kitchen and family room. Removed walls but not they were not load bearing. Moved appliance locations. Completely constructed a new powder room too. Our guy doesn't subcontract out, so he had a crew of at our house every day.

5 weeks - including removing modifying an exterior wall, removing an interior chimney, removing 2 walls, changing another wall, adding pot lights & pendants, new flooring & new cabinets.

Final walkthrough with the contractor is scheduled for this afternoon :)

Standard time is 8-12 weeks. It's super hard to be under construction that long but the time ensures a job done right!

3 1/2 weeks. I used a kitchen design firm - new floors, cabinets, countertops, removed two walls, minor electrical work.
