We went with the Lauzon engineered hard maple. It hasn’t arrived yet. I can post pics once it’s installed

nehanitin start by looking at American or Canadian made Engineered floors. Something with at least a 4mm wear layer. Make sure its Carb II compliant.

A thicker wear layer can add protection against denting. You think you're getting a 'hard' wood floor but if the hardwood layer is thin with typical softwood below to make up the rest of the thickness it'll dent easily. The cost saving could work if you choose a rustic floor design. Usage will just add to the character. If you don't want that . . . . .Floor suppliers always talk about how many times you can refinish when the real concern is denting. Denting is the black secret of engineered flooring.

Great decision! You will love your floor and ease of installation.

We've been having good experience with Lauzon Stave core Expert engineered collection which comes in 3-1/8" , 4-1/8" and recently added 5-3/16".

I wonder what width you went with and how you plan to install it.

Do you have a rough price per sq ft of these engineered floors? We are working with a $7/sq ft allowance,but haven't made selections yet and based on some initial research I'm thinking we'll have to go over.

As their Titanium dealer, it is sold in $6.00 to 7.00 per sqft for either Maple or Red Oak colors.

Hello @nehanitin! Reviving this thread, I'd love to hear how your experience has been so far with your Lauzon flooring. Has it held up well enough? I'm in the same boat you were of choosing flooring for an entire home. Lauzon looks gorgeous, but I haven't found enough datapoints to convince me of its durability. Thank you in advance!
