Need ideas for exterior wall

Hello. Inquiring for ideas on a blank space on the front of our home. We had originally planned on putting a faux, closed shutter to make it look more balanced but we aren’t putting shutters on the windows under the porch (only on the top / sides of the house). Was concerned it wouldn’t look right with a lone shutter under porch. Any suggestions??

To me, fake shutters never look good.

Wait till everything is finished. You can enhance the space with porch furniture, tall plants, etc. No fake shutters.

Put a lovely bench and some outdoor pillows, along with a plant under that smaller window and it will look totally planned. Oh - and the railing will cover a LOT of empty space.

Don't stress. Your house will look a lot different finished, with much more going on for your eye to see than the expanse of house wrap you see now!

Agree with the consensus above.

Looking at your exterior, I wouldn't put shutters on your top windows either unless there is enough room for them to be properly sized. IMO there isn't enough room without crowding the area.

Plenty of time to figure this out when the house is complete - IF the space still looks blank.

the top windows are built for operable, arched shutters. But, you’re right there won’t be a ton of room on the sides once opened. Thank you all for your input! Exactly what my “gut” was telling me!

The blank wall is fine but the little round top window seems to have fallen off a dormer. I would make it wider and rectangular.
