It's fairly classy and not terribly dated for a ranch. I'd follow Bev's advice--you can update it without wrecking it pretty easily.

Without better photos, there's not much more one can say, though. On the bright side, you've got wonderful shade trees!

Hard to see in the photos--so much shade--but this looks like a pretty classic MCM ranch and if you're not careful, you could muddle it terribly. I would also probably keep the stone--it's a hallmark of the style--and suggest you familiarize yourself with mid century modern style before you destroy what could be a gem.

Replace the garage door, repaint fascia, gutters, soffit, window surrounds a deep charcoal...this house doesn't need much. Oh, have an arborist look at that tree. It looks like it might have a parasite.

Another thing you could do is keep the original stone, but add some bright color to the garage door or the front entrance like orange or yellow.

There's nothing wrong with the exterior of your house. If you modernize it this year, will you modernize it again in 5 years and so forth and so on? Focus on making the interior work for you and your family.
