We are planning a remodel on our walk in basement. It includes a living room/family room area, entry, 1/2 bath and master suite. I would like to do wood flooring throughout the areas with heated tile in the master bath. The wood flooring on the main level of our home is a red oak hardwood. I prefer darker wood flooring and would like to use it in the basement but want the remodeled basement to flow well and not look like it belongs in a different home! How do I accomplish this?
