Does it get enough light?

I have a lovely extended window sill in the kitchen of our new home that I thought would be a great place for an herb garden. However, after observing it, I've noticed it never gets any direct sunlight, though as you can see sunlight does come through.
Would indirect sunlight be enough? Or do herbs need more direct light?
