I think it is impossible for us to give you good color advice. In one picture the counter and the tiles look brown and in another grey. But the white of your trim is safe and you could add color in towels and accessories.

One thing you might try is taking a tile into a good paint store and having them do a color match. May not work because of the shine. Might borrow a color fan from them and get the best match with your tile, then have the paint store show you formula colors, for example how much black, marooon, etc. They would then use those same proportions with a lot of pure white. Makes a huge difference if proportions are changed.

In my experience, and I would have read this somewhere, you need to paint two large areas (at least 3' x3') on adjacent walls. The reason is that the color bounces between the walls, and that is the only way to see what it will really look like.

Also, it looks like you are painting over dark walls, so you may need to paint two to three coats on those test walls because that will change the color. I've gone so far as to paint two adjacent walls, and then trying another color, an another...until I got it right.

When preparing my home for sale, I took a shortcut because I was so busy doing other things. I had the painter show me a small area, like in your photo, and it looked good to three of us. It ended up looking yellow instead of the very pale taupe I wanted. Horrible with the tile and carpeted bedrooms. Had I been staying, I would not have been able to live with it.
