Need ideas selecting a new backsplash and island light please?

Would love to get a few ideas on a new backsplash for kitchen and a new island light. The island is 4’ x 8’. Countertops are soapstone. House is more traditional overall. Thanks for any help!

Your kitchen is beautiful! I like the pendants and wouldn’t change them. As for the backsplash I’d pick a color that ties in with other neutral colors in your home like gray.

Just replace the shades to a simple white white linen...the ones you have a bit too traditional and dingy yellow. You have a shiplap backsplash now? If so I’d leave well enough alone.

Consider a little color for backsplash (provided you like color). Look around your home for ideas. If not into color, white subway is safe and add color with accessories, canisters, towels etc. Consider filtering pictures for kitchen, white, counter soapstone and see what others are doing.
