Your'e not the only one- my cat woke me up at 2:30 am, probably the wind whirling.

So I got up, made coffee, let the dog out and fed the cats. So it's almost afternoon to me know.

Any plant in my yard that was in full bloom or budding is now completely wind scorched. At least with less leaves they'll need less water during the upcoming late winter/spring drought ( Is that the silver lining? ) Florida seems to be a harsh climate for plants. Only the most resilient ones truely thrive here. At least that's been my experience.

I don't think the wind damaged any of my plants just cleaned out the dead stuff. The front yard is covered with small oak branches and palm branchs that were ready to come down. The citrus is still on the trees minus a couple insect damaged ones. The rest seem fine. Many of the tropicals are going dormant anyway and were dying back aka gingers etc.

The winds came here the day after Christmas. Lasted a couple of days.... it was terrible on my plants..... so much salt spray and wind burn... I lost several limbs on my roses, but I also lost an entire plant. It snapped right at the graph union....
