We purchased an older home a couple years ago, and are finally getting around to a few cosmetic updates. This room (to be my 14year old son's) was all an ugly, faded pink color--including trim and window frames/casings. My son is color-blind, except for yellow (and white/black - everything else is shades of brown or grey), so he chose a bright, bright yellow for the walls. The ceiling is blue, but it looks black to him - as does the stencil work. I love the stencil effect with his initials (FH), but it was an awful project! So glad it's done, imperfections and all! I know it's not perfect or to everyone's taste, but my son loves it, and that's what matters.

Someday, we'll get to updating outlets and replace that carpet, but it wasn't in the budget for now.
