My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

High Ceiling Living Room Before & After

My house has a very high ceiling in the living/family room (18 feet). There was only one light fixture, a boring traditional 2-bulb flush mount ceiling fixture. It was inadequate lighting for the size and height of the room. Because the walls were so high, there was a lot of boring empty space on the walls. In addition, our aging furniture didn't match the decor of our new house.


So I decided to fix the lighting problem and fill up some of the space on the walls, and add some wood working and coffered ceiling to add some character to the room.

I designed all of the woodwork, including the ceiling. My wife picked out the furniture and most of the decorations.
