Ive lived with this great gold yellow for over 10 years and it needs to change. The items that should stay are the rug and red cabinet, table also. I have white silk curtain panels and my bedroom is painted a delicious vanilla ice cream. My thought is to have the mainstay color of the LR, also repeated in the BR, could be in ceiling, or fabrics and accents. There's also a foyer. The color scheme Id thought of was grey with yellow accents but a friend decided to copy, so wont do same. Thinking to do a dove or silver gray and start from there. I could paint the cabinet antique white, another of the colors this Chinese piece comes in. The rug is expensive and I dont have anywhere else to put it. All ideas welcome, i dont like frilly, frumpy and want to stay in realistic spend.
