Get out your furniture sliders and start pushing and shoving. You have to try everything and you may find a couple of arrangements so you can switch things up occasionally. In my bedroom I have only two walls for the bed. In summer/fall it is where I can enjoy the green space and the red maple. I move it in winter/spring so I can look to the entry gate and the blooming hawthorns flanking the drive. You can flank the FP with the chairs and float the sofa with the sofa table facing TV. You can put the TV on the wall between the windows with a credenza under it. Try the sofa table under the two bigger prints if they aren't more than 75% of its width. Coffee table should be 18" or less from the sofa, so you may not want an arrangement that forces it centered with the firebox. If the room is really long, you could make two seating areas; one at the fire and another at the opposite end with TV. Take a photo from the FP toward the other end, and more ideas may surface. If you do 2 couches they can "L" or sit back to back.

What isn't right is the TV over the mantel. I would have done this:

The other problem I see is a very leggy room. The chairs, the iron and glass tables, even the tree artwork makes it feel like the room is full of skinny, vertical sticks.

If you're sold on this arrangement and the TV over the fireplace, maybe replace the coffee table with an ottoman, then move all the seating close enough to use it.

I agree with moving the tv. It's just a big black blob and the art would look so much better. Think about it.

Thank you all for your feedback! @groveraxle I want to keep the couch and furniture arrangement as is and keep the TV above the fireplace. I don't have an outlet to put it on the other wall and I like it this way since it is open to my kitchen and in person it makes the rooms flow rather than cutting it off by having the back of the couch facing the kitchen. I agree with your comment on the vertical sticks and it feeling too skinny..that's sort of what I was getting at in my question with adding more to the room and making it feel more full. The picture with that new coffee table helps a lot! Maybe I should shop for new coffee and end table? Eventually I plan to replace the two chairs with cream colored arm chairs or wingback style chairs.

Would you do round or square coffee table? I always heard that round is better for sectional couches.

Shape of the coffee table depends on how you arrange the furniture. You could do a rectangular table for the sofa, and a low round table between the chairs.

I moved one chair up into the conversation group more, then put the same coffee table in except in a rectangular shape. Something about a round one seems to suit this room full of squares.

I also think this room could use a bit more texture, maybe in the pillows. The chairs appear almost lavender here which could be another source of disconnect, though they may look warmer in the room.

It's hard to tell in the photo but the chairs are actually a light gray color. They do appear lavendar in the photo but are more gray. I'm planning to replace the chairs soon with more of a cream colored arm chairs. Slowly trying to switch out my gray furniture. I like the idea of a new coffee table/or end table to help add more weight! Do you think the wall with the fireplace should be left plain or should I add floating shelves or leave it plain and keep the art on the other two sides?
