My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

What type of counter is on the periphery? It's darker and thinner than the island counter top. TIA.

    It's a GFRC concrete folded down. We use it on our projects. We can fold it down up to 6". The true thickness is 3/4". Its designed to go over existing countertops without tear out. You can change the color later on too. 1day job.
