Ruggable and laminate flooring?

Finally bought two Ruggables after reading rave reviews on this forum. As I'm setting up the one in the family room, I'm remembering reading a post about a rug pad leaving marks on a laminate flooring. I don't remember what type of page it was. Does anyone know if there are any contraindications for Ruggables with certain types of flooring? The second rug will be on hardwood and I have a slate entry that could benefit from a pretty, washable rug. Thanks in advance for any feedback. (2nd attempt at this post - apologies if it's a double.)

Why not email the company? I'm actually waiting on hold with them, but it's seems like a long wait. I was curious about your question!

I thought the rug pad issue with with the finish on real hardwoods. The rubber pads would leave an imprint in the top coat of the hardwoods.

I have had one in my mudroom entry for a month or two and I can't see any marks in my hardwoods. But the floor is 4 years old...maybe different for "fresh" wood/finish/. Can't feel any bumpiness or texture though the pad has a texture. I haven't washed it yet, but so far it is holding it's own in this heavily trafficked area.

(The site is weird today. I had deleted this duplicate post when I saw my first one appear yet here it is.)

I might email the company but I doubt they'll be able to advise much. I've since found this disclaimer on their website in their FAQs. Don't know how I missed it initially.

Sorry to hear you've not found their service prompt, eld6161. I had emailed them with a billing query and they answered me promptly.

I'll check the floor periodically but it would be great if customers chime in here. Thanks for your feedback, jmck_nc.

ETA: That screen capture isn't very legible, is it? Ugh. Here's the answer to Is it safe for hardwood floors? "Our latex-free TPR backing material won’t stain or leave residue on hard surface floors or vinyl. However, we always recommend double-checking with the flooring manufacturer to be sure."

I emailed about this specifically and they said their rugs have been tested on all hard surfaces and vinyl and are safe to use. Also that they don’t have a felt rug pad option, and would not recommend using the top part with a different rug pad (which I had also asked about because I don’t want to ruin floors I just paid for).

So long as you have it in writing (thank you email!) you will have something to fall back on if this doesn't work.

Did you ever try the pad in your floor? I just had my white pine floors refinished and want some rugs but have had bad luck with rubber backed rugs in the past . They actually pulled the finish off the wood

My rubber rug pad damaged bamboo floors in my kitchen and I just discovered have damaged some laminate wood floor in my basement. I would avoid the rubber backing.

They runied my bamboo floors too. So bad that I have black mold. The floors need to be ripped out. I a set of 3 in my bedroom and there is mold and damage under every rug. AVOID THESE RUGGABLES with the black rubber mats. Your floors cant breath.

My bamboo floors were ruined by Ruggables black rub mats. I noticed bumps under my rugs. When I pulled them back i could see discoloration and planks lifting. In between the planks is black mold too that has crept across the floor. I have a set of 3 in my bedroom and each one had the same issue. I could actually feel dampness when the mats were pulled up. I have gad these floors in my home for about 14 years and with plain area rugs we had no issues. Had these on our floors for just over a year I would guess and our floors are trashed. DO NOT USE THESE ON WOOD FLOORS. It's too risky. Now I have to tear out all my bamboo in my bedroom. I am disgusted.
