Not much you can do, short of narrowing the window. But that would mean modifications to the outside of the house, which will be costly and possibly difficult to blend/conceal. Can you modify the outside so it looks good?

Agree with advanced planning. This was all my husbands doing.

The upper profile trim is the culprit. Removal of that would help to keep it simple and the corner complications less noticeable. Your husband did a nice job on the work. He is just showing off his skill with that upper trim piece, lol.

What does anyone think about wrapping a small piece around the corner to make it look completed

what did you end up doing? my house has the same problem with doors crammed into corners. for now i've switched my trim profile to flat to make it less obvious. i'm considering paneling the adjoining wall to make the short edge feel like it is just turning a corner into the panel. curious how you are feeling about your windows by now.
