My Laundry Room Will Soon "Sparkle" :)

I've got the go ahead (as long as he doesn't have to do anything but move the w/d) to update the laundry room. The new w/d deserve nicer digs. The door stays closed unless we're in there, so, I've decided to do something fun. The walls will be painted an aqua blue (where blue just starts to move into green) with glitter (sparkle) infused paint. I'm not talking full on, in your face glitter (which is all I can find on line right now). I know I've seen this YEARS ago. Maybe my painter will know more about what I'm looking for...maybe not LOL Nicer (7") baseboard to match the rest of the house and a nice light fixture. Right now the light doesn't have a fixture covering it because I bought a motion detecting socket so I wouldn't have to turn on the light with an arm full of laundry. I've decided to go form over function this time :)

Oh bravo! Honestly next to kitchen the laundry room is where i spend the most time. Updating it where you actually like being there is a win! Enjoy your remodel

I didn't search for inspiration but a front running color is BM California Breeze...I'm just starting the process and I will be the first to admit, paint and I aren't the best of friends. I'm just looking for an easy on the eye aqua blue color with a small flake sparkle/glitter

You could get this this bulb! Blingy, and you can still have the motion detector! (Love my motion-activated lights. I have big, round bulbs in the ceiling fixtures in the basement, much nicer than regular bulbs.)

Thanks, I'll look into that.

Decided against the aqua color. Going to keep it neutral and use a soft sand/beige BUT, I'm keeping the sparkly bits! And no, I'm not worried about resale. We built this house 39 years ago, doubled it's size 20 years ago and plans are to live here forever.

I'm sad to hear that you changed your mind about the aqua color. This is the color that I painted the floor in my laundry room...

It's a wee postage stamp of a laundry room so I have only a splash of aqua w/ white walls & white appliances. Totally love it!

Oh that's beautiful! I totally love it too! I can just see it on the walls with sparkling glitter dust. I don't know how much smaller my laundry room could be. It's wide enough for a w/d and deep enough for a hot water heater. WHY didn't I listen to mom!? It's the one room of her's I covet. W/D, built in sink and ironing board, extra fridge, clothes rack for hanging clothes, long counter for folding clothes and grooming her dog and cabs wherever there is wall space (sigh)
