If you are referring to the typical slotted 3 prong dryer plug, I think the Frigidaire laundry centers use just the one. They don't come with the power cord. I believe that's due to some homes being wired for a four prong and you can buy the cord based on your outlet.

As TBL references above, electric dryers don't typically include a power cord, it's purchased as a separate "accessory" ... reason being to match the outlet at the installation location. I would assume the same goes for a unitary stacked-set laundry center.

Searching for installation instructions for your model number LTE5243D stated above, I find two documents. One indicates the cord is purchased separately (3-prong or 4-prong as required). The other says the unit comes with a 4-prong cord already installed. So maybe that change is related to the updated code requirement for a 4-prong outlet.

Check into Frigidaire units as TBL suggests. May also be that the cord could be changed on other brands. You also have the choice of changing the wall outlet to a 4-prong to match a cord that may be included with or required for a machine you choose.

I am really confused by the voltage. The laundry centers on most websites are 240 voltage. I even called Home Depot and they said they only have 240. Is there a reason why it's hard to find?

As explained in the installation instructions (page 11) for Whirlpool laundry centers, the appliances do not come with a cord. You must buy and attach one 30 amp, 3-prong or a 4-prong cord at least 4 feet long; just match the cord to the electrical outlet in your house. The voltage is 240 volts (forget about 220 volts, it's irrelevant). Examples:

@wdccruise. This was the message I got from the building maintenance guy," It is not an ordinary outlet like the ones you normally plug into, it is a 3 prong 220 outlet".
