It is a bush variety and doesn't vine. Therefore it doesn't exactly grow on a trellis. You can drive a stake next to it and tie it up continually through the growing season, or use a tomato cage and keep it contained somwhat. Otherwise it'll just grow outward and cover several square feet.

My black beauty HAS vined, but I have a growing time that sometimes goes into November! What I do is start my plants in pots, until the 3rd leaf appears, then plant it so that the vine goes OPPOSITE of that 3rd leaf. That way you can control which way it vines.

Also, I've seen pallets used as a trellis.
