Thoughts on beveled edge frame for a bathroom mirror?

I'm looking to freshen up my daughter's bathroom with a new mirror (and eventually paint). It's an unusual shape with molding to the left that runs below the ceiling and I can't find any ready-made mirrors that would work. My mirror guy suggested a custom beveled mirror with a beveled edge frame. I've never done one of these before so was curious pros and cons? Also suggestions on the sizing of the frame bevel? I know the trend is bohemian which would be her preference but I'm more of a traditional/transitional girl. So the last question is, is this tacky or old fashioned? Ideas for mirrors if I'm way off base?

I took out the old, ugly light bar above the mirror so I have to upgrade to a new mirror to cover. I'm curious about your thoughts using a mirror edge?

I have updated 3 bathrooms with 1/2" bevel edges. They are beautiful. Two bathrooms (his & hers) had a full length mirror across the 7 ft., single sink, vanity, I replaced each with 40"x30" rectangular mirrors over the sink. In my 1/2 bath, just completed, I also had a full length mirror (like yours) and replaced it with a 38" round with 1/2" bevel. You may have already decided on your change, I'm just seeing your question.

CCG, I'm having the same predicament - bevel or no bevel for a full length mirror. Do you have any pictures of your projects you'd be willing to share? Thanks :)

I've now updated my 4th (guest) bathroom and put a wall to wall mirror back in it with a 1/2" bevel as well. I liked the bevel better than the straight edge. The guest bath is awaiting the new frameless shower door to complete it. Everything seems to be taking longer with the pandemic. Not sure if you'll be able to see the edges here, I'll try again if you need different photos.

I had a local glass company in my community make them for me and when they were completed, the glass company installed them for me as well. I love them and they still look great. They also installed a frameless glass shower in my guest bedroom that's not shown in the photos above, with acrylic grab bars with stainless trim.
