Are you replacing the window above the door as part of the arched portion? To me, that's off and doesn't fit the style of your home.

To answer your question, I'd do a bit of iron, but keep it simple.

Agree, lovely home and setting! I'm not a pro but also agree with keeping the door style fairly simple. There's a lot going on with the stone, brick and other design features. Interested to see what some pros suggest.

@User we are going to fill the door, side windows and top window so it is all just 2 tall arched doors. Similar to this.

We just want to make sure the door design we choose fits with the style of our home.

If you do doors like that, they will be awfully tall. I like the look of the doors in your sample photo; I'm just not sure they'll work in the tall space you have.

Something like this or a giant pivoting door.

@User Yes, we want the doors to fill the entire space to the height of the window. They will be 10' 6" tall at the center. The doors we are getting will be metal, so we won't have any issues with warping wood. Expansion/contraction-- probably but not warping.

That's not just a home, that's a minii-castle! Love the natural setting.

The basic style door you have with sidelights works but I'd paint the trim black instead of white around a dark door.

Was the overhead fixed arch window built with single pane glass? If so, would rip it out and recreate the entry; however, if the quality is there, keeping the window and the light it provides your entry is well worth considering.

If glass/privacy/security is not an issue ... this double Pella door w/o sidelights looks really good.

Hi Tristan, it looks like you've already decided on the material and general style of your doors. I think Cantera has a beautiful selection of wrought iron doors that would look amazing on your home.

If you change your mind on full height opening some solid wood doors with a transom would also work really well with your home. I think solid wood doors look grand and warm with size and color.
