Brushed nickel vs. Chrome or polished nickel

Cabinets are a white shaker and appliances and sink are stainless, for the cabinet hardware should I use a brushed nickel which would match the appliances or do you think it would look strange if I went with a shiny finish like chrome or a polished nickel? I like the idea of bright and shiny but I don't want it to look weird.

I would order samples in all of those finishes and trust your gut.

you don't need to match it to the SS finish.

Get whichever one you like. they will both work equally well

but there's more to that choice than just finish. the overall style of the kitchen, the other elements, the adjoining room space, and the style of the handles you're choosing.
