You could use some color. It's quite a grey space. I'd get some art and a few other accessories in lively colors to start with.

I actually love the way it looks. If you feel you need more then here are some good ideas. For me, I would choose a large piece of lined art to the left of the screen, and, for the right, I would choose a wall shelf in light wood with a sculpture piece and greenery which is light. Thanks. I agree with the fact that's is such a grey space! And I Love colour! I also love the idea of art on the left and wooden shelves on the right! I do have to large art pieces on the opposite wall though... Would it be too much art in one space?

Those chairs need some ambient, layered lighting to ground them. I would do a cool pair of modern sconces on either side of the fireplace, with or without art underneath. If not that, a floor lamp in the corner (with one piece of art on each side, or art on the left, mirror on the right).

Tania, you can definitely use more art despite the one you have. I would choose large vertical one.

I actually love the serene ambiance. To me, the chairs are like artwork. I would agree with jinx to mount some modern black sconces on either side.
