I think they look too big for an 8' ceiling and the super short rods don't make for a nice look.

I really like them hung just as your second pic.

While the light is beautiful, it looks overwhelming in your space.

I just realized that I made a mistake in my 24” prototype. the rejuvenation website says that the height of the shade is only 16” i have it as 24” here. I will redo my prototype shortly. 🙄

I know oversize pendants are the current fashion, but with your low ceiling I would go smaller. And I would also choose clear glass to keep more of a view to the windows. It's going to be a great space!

Can I ask what you went with for a final choice ? We are doing a new build and I don’t know if we should go with the 24 or 18 butte for our 8 ft island ?

I think clear glass will help not to block your window view from the kitchen specially with low ceiling. If you like modern style you can try a custom made glass chandelier. See below some images and let us know if we can help you.

I went with the 24” buttes and they are perfect. I needed a simple statement piece that added depth to the kitchen but wasnt busy and these were perfect for that job and i have no problem seeing out of my windows.
