240V wiring required for each heater?

We just finished building our 3 season 20x16 screened in porch and we are looking to get Bromic heaters. Here are my questions -

Which series of bromic would you recommend for our space? 3000 series (2 or 3) or 6000 series ( just 1) or anything else?

Do we need to pull 240V for EVERY heater?

Apart from bromic, any other models do you recommend?

    All electric space heaters are costly devices to generate heat. Bromic advises against DIY installations.


    What's the risk? burn down your house for less than $1000.


    Sizing: how much heat do you really need?


    If you manage to install it right, the light bill (electric bill) is delivered by a Brinks armed guard truck.


    Means? you're going to pay for it one way or the other... might as well do it right the first time.

    Haha...Thank you for the good laugh! Nope, we are getting an electrical company to come do it, but we have been hearing some different insight and so we just wanted some opinion and recommendations :) But you can definitely trust me to change a bulb!

    Understood. We are currently thinking about 2 of 3kw from bromic. For some reason our construction company decided to do electrical separate and we are not quite confident with some of the suggestions. Also, while we are at it, what type of lighting would you recommend for the space (20x16 - 3 season room - windows are yet to go up)? Of course, now we understand that there’s going to be exposed wires, but anything that would minimize the exposure will be great. Can’t do recessed as the ceiling is exposed (not insulated) - I am thinking about track lights (pls see pic) either along the center LBL or on two rafters on either side. We are putting MA 65” fan in the middle. Any suggestion/recommendation is much appreciated!

    I'd consider cylinder lights spaced around the ceiling, either flush-mounted (to the sloped ceiling) or as pendants. As the room has a lot of outside exposure, I'd follow dark sky guidelines to light only the areas where light is needed and only when it's needed.

    We don’t have much of a head space (probably btw 10-12ft at the peak)..so pendant is not an option. I was definitely thinking about mono/flush-mounts but I like the option of moving track lights - that way I can adjust or move the lights depending on the need - also I thought there might be lot of exposed wires if doing mono/flush-mounts.

    • Plan for roughly 84 to 96 inches from the bottom of the light to the floor. You should provide at least 1 foot of clearance for the person walking below.
    • Calculate according to the height of the ceiling. For an 8-foot ceiling, a pendant lamp should hang about 12 to 20 inches below. For each additional foot of ceiling height, add 3 inches."*

    I would think you could hide the wires between the narrow boards and along the beams.

    I thought I would dip the DIY market in pure gold. That's what you're gonna need to pay that light bill if you run these to any large extent. Electric heat is efficient, but it will make that utility meter spin like a top.
