I have had the LSE4617ST installed for a short time. So far I'm pleased. The cooktop works very well: fast. A minor deficiency is that the up/down controls for the timers and oven temperature move the numbers a bit too quickly. The oven takes a while to heat -- probably because it's very large -- but the display shows the current temperature during the pre-heat period to keep you informed of the status.

Make sure your 240 volt electrical outlet is in an allowed location so you can push the range back against the wall.

The Cafe induction ranges have keypads for the timers and temperature but they seem to be out of stock everywhere.

Yes, I don't believe the LG has a fast pre-heat option for the oven like I have now - something I use all the time. I don't need this yet so Cafe would be an option but I've known so many people who've had GE problems (including me with a flakey microwave) that I always rule out their brands.
