okay....well that shows neither shelves nor a shower niche

If this is a current pic of your bathroom then I think glass shelves would like really nice in here. Plus, glass is more resistant to mold than wood which is important to consider in the bathroom!

Shower niche. Opinion?

That's ugly in my opinion. Although all your cryptic verbiage and a pic of the niche only offer no over context.

I have never figured out why shampoo and body wash bottles should be a decor item I dislike niches in a shower they are always yucky , and hard to keep clean . Save yyourself a hassle and get a caddy hangs over the wall or door and can be cleaned easily. And honestly wood shelves in a shower get a grip.

Wood shelves don't go in a shower niche. I don't know what opinion you are seeking on the shower niche itself as it is what it is unless you want to tear out the whole shower? Use the same tile as in the shower for the niche shelving.

Thank you everyone for your responses. To clarify, the shelves (glass vs. floating wood) are for above the toilet for storage.

The niche was just "completed" as part of the bathroom remodel with the same tile used on the shower wall. I was seeking feedback on the craftsmanship. I have no interest in placing shelves in the niche.

I haven't used this platform in a number of years. It was challenging uploading the pics of the niche initially.

I like the glass idea for shelves in the bathroom, due to the moisture in the room. Your shower is very ADA friendly and attractive.

I am not a fan of how the tiles were placed. It doesn’t make sense to me.

That said, the installation seems fine.
