Kitchen Backsplash Suggestions

I am looking for suggestions to install in my kitchen backsplash. Our cabinets are simply white and the island base is graphite gray (looks almost black). The counters are Cambria quartz in the color Colton. Our faucet and pot filler are matte black, cabinet hardware is honey bronze and stainless steel appliances.

I'd look for a pale gray to pick up the veining in the counters, or second choice, a shiny white. Wouldn't add more pattern or finishes.

when I glanced at the space I found myself darting around , visually w all the features. It's a very "full space" I see the point of just a basic white subway or similar. However in this case I might try the opposite to give the eye one visual line that connects everything...especially that whole back wall. So try at least a medium dark charcoal colored tile or close to black tile....or color that you may desire.....not too bright or busy or anything like that.... probably avoid shaped . Run it from left of window all the way across to far right of stove.....height to under the glass doored cabinets. This will make a swathe of a solid color right across and help with a line of continuity . Definite no to small hex or small patterned anything . If you want just white then try a textural white in a basic subway shape....and of course a default option is just plain white subway.... I think you might be surprised at how a medium or darker colored tile could serve a function for that back wall.

You have a lot going on. I would do a light tile with matching grout. Get some samples of larger tiles.

I could see a lovely marble with shades that pulll all the elements together including the brass and you can’t go wrong with a classic style for longevity and elegance. Be sure to bring home more than one tile of your choices so you can get a better feel, especially with the counter.

I agree there is already a lot going on, you need to keep it very simple. I like herbflavor's idea of a charcoal subway backsplash -- try a matte finish subway to see if that looks good (dark and glossy might be visually too much here). Or you could always go the default white subway route. Not exciting or sexy but will get the job done and not visually compete with anything.

The tiles you are showing are too small.

I've attached a few pictures to envision.

Very simple, plain white, could do a touch of gold over the stove.

Lovely kitchen, but a little busy - so keep it simple.

Will you tile all the way across, past the door and left?

    Maybe up to the ceiling?

your kitchen is gorgeous so far!!

i can see both and light and dark tile.

i would not do a small format, as othes have said, you already have a lot going on, and a small format will bring more visual overload.

if u go light or dark, match the grout the best u can to the tile to more easy on the eye.
