Function is the most important thing in the kitchen.

Please see if you can install a proper hood vent over your stove that vents to the outside.

You can then find another place for your microwave.

That is much more important than a backsplash which is purely decorative.

As for the only area in your kitchen that really needs a backsplash, that is the area directly behind the cooktop.

You can get a sheet of stainless steel, plain or quilted, and affix it to the wall.

It will perfectly match your oven and vent hood, and be perfectly easy to clean, and hygienic, unlike some razzle-dazzle tile with grout.

After all, you don't want tile and grout on your counters because it is unhygienic and hard to clean, right?

Why ever would you want to reach across the stove to clean off spattered and sprayed tomato sauces and grease, etc from fancy tile and grout?

I suggest investing your money where it counts, into a proper hood vent, not into a useless "for show" backsplash.

Hi, don’t worry about other comments, their suggestion might be good to think about but if you are looking for new backsplash and have budget, then go for it. I also think grout in kitchen is a pain. If you have a budget for it, I think it would be beautiful to have the countertop material serve as backsplash as well, also functional and easier to clean

You can get samples for now but it’s usually best to wait till your new kitchen is installed, with lighting, and then choose the backsplash. Your choices sound wonderful!
