I love all the pictures you have. But the one above the bed is just not large enough for above the bed. It belongs on a smaller wall. Perhaps you could group the ones of great grandmother together somewhere else. I especially like the 2 different heights of lamps and the sweet little dressers they sit on.

do you think it would be too busy to but the 2 sitting on the bed next to the picture?

Agree that the pic above the bed is too small. You have a lovely collection of antique pics, but I also agree that maybe they may look better elsewhere. That said, you have not mentioned your budget. If the budget is being used for other items, I have seen rooms like yours with empty frames hung in a collage without any pictures. If you could store the heirloom pictures safely until you get a larger picture over your bed, this may be an option for you. The frames are lovely. I also love your paint color and chandelier.

From what I can see your room might be in for some lively grooming hints.

I've spent time stable gunning drapes to the window surround. You'll have a better fuller look if you gather your fabric at both upper sides of the window. pull firmly so the fabric is taught. The with a thick rubber band secure the taughtness. You can then wrap a the rubber banded fabric with a decretive roping or ribbon. On the wall avoe and behind the molding use a small screw in tiny hook and let eh ribboned or roped area hang from the hook. Voila...new drapes.

I agree with the earlier comment about empty picture frames. There is a lot of allure with the shape and design of the picture frame more than the subject.

It's nice you've got good taste in frames....a collection of them with pretty modern wall paper sample or wrapping paper is used with a lot of lively success.

makeup_ mirror would you have an example or photo of the curtains you talked about- i like the empty picture idea and i do have large painting i can try i just need to make it lower--- ill try and see what happens

you are all right this painting is too small! what if i hung it hortizontally?

Or an old piece of wrought iron fence?

thxs for your suggestion for the curtains-im going to put up a curtain rod next week - the way they are stapled up they dont look good either way and was done because i didnt have a rod= yes i agree the wall is screaming headboard of some sort- and pump up the pillows!

I think you need a base for right behind the bed, The prints are so lovely, I would group them possibly side by side over the lamps if you are getting new ones. Just make sure the prints and the headboard are a complimentary height to each other.

It will be a warm room when you are done, for sure!

For now i did what i could with your ideas.-- I will be looking for head boards and other things you suggested-- i took the orange out and added along pillow whjich is better eventhough i didnt do a great job fluffing!! -I was in a hurry this morning so the comforter is a little wrinkled! Thanks so far for great advise
