Our door is similar, 7’ high with windows at the top. Someone would have to be tall to peer into the garage. Have never felt any need for privacy glass.

I agree with Houssaon: no one will see in, unless they walk directly up to it. Your garrage door is beautiful! Don’t overthink it!

Thanks all. We’ve had heard of a number of home robberies in our neighborhood lately so that has us a bit paranoid. I too love the clear glass but my husband is concerned about securing the house.

You can "frost" the glass on the inside using a removable spray paint. I live in an urban area and would be concerned with theft.

Are you running around naked in the garage ?Anyone wanting to break in will break in no matter what you do to windows . Get a good alarm system and a dog .

you could always do a couple windows and if you wont like the look...then you just spent $13 for piece of mind. If you think that will make you safer (or even feel safer)...especially on a busy street...i dont think it will ruin the look of the house.

@Susan L - I understand wanting to secure your garage, its contents and access into the house. We installed a side-mounted garage door opener WITH a deadbolt that locks the door thru the track. It also has a feature to permit controlling the opener via an app and battery back-up in event of power failure.

Paint the inside of the glass black.

Reflective window tint (Amazon). You cant see in during the day and will only see in at night if the lights are on in the garage.

Tint, no question. Keeps people from looking in, keeps the flies out, and prevents sun damage.

I used clear contact paper from the dollar tree. It peals off easily. It is clear on the roll but frosted when put on the garage window. No use putting all your valuables in the garage on display for thieves. Since thieves can't window shop, or see if your home or not, maybe they will move on to the next garage. No cars in the garage usually means nobody is home.
