Her creative instincts eventually led her to explore interior design, transitioning from large-scale buildings to multifamily interiors, focusing on luxury apartments with stunning common areas. This shift had a profound impact on her approach to design. In 2016, Margaret founded her architectural consulting company, aiming to educate architects and interior designers in creating color renderings using advanced three-dimensional software such as Autodesk Revit and SketchUp. The following year, she embarked on building a new house from the ground up, a journey that helped refine her aesthetic to be whimsical yet polished. Margaret is such a great designer, I highly recommend her to anyone in need of tackling a large design project in and around Bethesda! She is a terrific listener, and can expertly bring a client's vision and dreams to life. Fantastic personality to boot! Margaret is the best! She designed and oversaw a “refresh” of my whole house at every level from start to finish including project management of the contractors. Margaret thought of every detail along the way. I can’t recommend her more!!

Margaret did a great job assisting me with kitchen renovation. She was able to create a space that worked for our lifestyle. She is excellent at designing a lighting plan. She is also detail orientated when it comes to picking out the details of what kind of trim to use, height of pony walls, and combinations of materials. Margaret was very responsive to answer questions quickly has decisions needed to be made. Her experience and style is tasteful but with a twist. She is also very helpful when working with contractors. She pays attention to quality of workmanship and can assist in trouble shooting problems that can arise because of her experience on many projects. Margaret has a pulse on style so if you are looking for something modern or classic she can guide you with good decisions that will be timeless.

Margaret is a brilliant designer. She completely transformed my home office from a lack-luster room to a space that I love. Margaret took the time to get to know me and my style, and thoughtfully planned out a beautiful and practical space - all within budget! And she was a ton of fun to work with... what more could you ask for?

We moved in the midst of the pandemic and Margaret worked with us every step of the way – from staging our old house and evaluating houses to buy to re-imagining full rooms, picking paint colors/flow -- even selecting and hanging photos. She helped us determine how to best use our space and really tie everything together, finishing each room. Margaret quickly understood our style and was able to incorporate things we already had as well as provide recommendations for new pieces that fit both our taste and budget. I greatly appreciated her insight on when to save vs. splurge, her creativity, and superior attention to detail. We had several projects that involved design/construction – Margaret’s background as an architect came in particularly handy here as she was able to spearhead the drawings as well as help manage the construction. Everything Margaret oversaw came out flawlessly and she is simply a delight to work with.

Margaret is first of all an amazing personality, and I simply enjoyed being with her and going through this process with someone I genuinely liked! She is really easy to talk to, listens to your ideas/style taste, and takes it from there. I like how she was able to distill my requests into returning with options that weren't too overwhelming. One of the things I'm not particularly good at is making decisions, and she helped with that by not bringing too many choices into the equation when it was time to decide for specific materials. I appreciated this because it helped me hone in on my choice. Margaret was efficient at making the project move along, and set expectations on how long furniture deliveries would take. She was punctual in taking the next steps needed for the project. The end result was a re-designed living room and dining room, and I love both of these rooms so much. They are now a favorite in our house. I also get a lot of compliments on the design when we have company. Couldn't recommend Margaret's services enough. -EV
