Question on a mini split DIY install

I have a 9000 BTU mini split that comes with enough coolant for a 16 - 25 foot line set.

I purchased the unit with a 10-foot line set and only need about 5 feet of it. (not precharged lines)

My question is, will there be too much coolant for the 10 feet, or if I shorten it to 5 feet?

I doubt it will make a noticeable difference but a more important consideration is pulling vacuum on lines before charging them. Do you have that under control?

Yeah, pulling a vacuum doesn't seem to be that big of a deal, no one is willing to touch it anyway, so I have no choice but to do it myself.

Main concern is too much pressure because of the amount of coolant I can always go back to the 16-foot line set, just don't want to have a big coil of line if I don't have too.

It's a DIY install. By definition you do it yourself.
