    Hi Nicole, Thank you for your interest and viewing our backyard projects. The rocks in the photo are Basalt Rocks from the Cascade Mountain range. They are usually multi-colored with reds, tans, browns, golds and some greys and they tend to be somewhat more jagged and blockier than Granite rock. Thank you Team Alderwood
