scat mat for garden pests?

last modified: 3 years ago

They sell "scat mats" for cats, which are like carpets with spikes. Cats don't want to walk over them, Allegedly, they are also good to keep garden pests out of gardens by lining the garden bed with them. Has anyone here used these for garden beds? Do they work with squirrels, possums? How wide need the mats be to deter them effectively? You can get different widths. That is, if they're too narrow, the pests will just jump over them. There are some really good deals out there, but only if they actually work.

I am NOT trying to repel cats, and I am NOT trying to deter scat!
