Your front legs have probably dropped down a little because the flooring material probably stops at the front of the cabinets and they are catching on the flooring when you try to pull the dishwasher out. What you first need to do is get a heavy duty pry bar (example: https://www.amazon.com/STEELHEAD-Heavy-Duty-Ultra-Durable-Heat-Treated-SH-PB-B1-15-1/dp/B07TSG977Y/ref=sr_1_1?crid=44GSIW2WZGL1&keywords=pry+bar&qid=1692170539&sprefix=pry+bar%2Caps%2C188&sr=8-1) so you can lift up the appliance a little bit. Once it's elevated by maybe 1/8", you can slide a thin piece of something under the feet in the front and have that piece rest on top of the flooring. Two pieces of sheet metal or maybe of formica should work. Once those are in place you should be able to pull the appliance out without messing up the floor further. I'd recommend you pull it all the way out to inspect everyting and maybe cut away the crumpled edge of flooring before shoving it back in place. it wouldn't be a bad idea to take some of the flooring -- if you have any left over -- and glue it down inside the space where the dishwasher will be. That way, if you ever have to get it back out again, it should be able to slide smoothly without catching.

I think it's caught on the floor. So you may need to start by sliding something very thin under the leg that you can see to pick it up slightly, and then do the same under the other leg. Maybe like a drywall knife or putty knife?

Can you lift straight up since there is space at the top?

Agreed... It's definitely caught on that linoleum flooring. (...a common problem, as plenty of floor installers deliberately--and inexplicably--fail to convey the floor material into each appliance niche, which causes the sort of issue you are experiencing.)

As suggested, suitably-sized putty knives jammed between each foot and the linoleum flooring would likely serve as a skid across which you might free that dishwasher. Alternatively, you could fabricate a pair of narrow wedges for the same purpose.

Just tried wedging putty knives under each foot - it's impossible! And we can't lift it straight up.

Can you remove the countertop, and then lift it up?

It looks like laminate countertop so look for screws from up inside the top of the cabinets like the sink base. But there will probably be screws or construction adhesive on the side of the DW opposite the sink.

Maybe somebody could lift up the front left corner just enough to wedge a puttyknife under the left foot. It only has to be like a 16th of an inch.

My DW was trapped under the new counter without being installed, because it had a solid metal cabinet around the entire DW instead of being open behind the front frame and the stone counter was resting right on it. I had to lower the feet on mine. It took me a couple hours to get it out.

We honestly can't lift it up even a millimeter. I get that it can't be pulled straight out because of the floor but it won't budge upward and it's not that heavy. Both of us pulling up on the inside of the dishwasher with the lid open does nothing and before it was pushed in one of us could very easily lift the front that way. Now we can't push it in more or pull it up.

In case it's relevant, this space used to be a cabinet - we had the cabinet removed to put the dishwasher in.

The machine presumably, due to lack of space behind it, can't be pushed further back to lift the obstructed leg above the flooring?

There appears to be, per the first photo, sufficient space above the machine to lift it (disregarding the obstructed front-right leg). Is there a support piece for the countertop at back of the cavity under which the rear of the machine is jammed, obstructing it from being lifted or tilted forward (if a forward tilt would even help)? I don't think removing the countertop will help unless this is the case.

The flooring on the right side may need to be cut away from the obstructed leg.

A less close-up photo of the machine in the cavity may be helpful to clarify the details.

Use a flashlight to look in the space above the top of the dishwasher. It sounds like the dishwasher is snagged on something that prevents it being lifted. Maybe at one edge.? Then report back on what you see.

Remove The 3 screws I see on the bottom plate then remove the plate. There is a bar that runs across the front, put a long screwdriver or flat bar under it and lift it up to put something under the legs then pull it out.

I recommended using a pry bar to lift it previously, but it sounds like it can't be budged upwards ....

A utility knife and cutting away that flooring is a good start. It's an easy place to patch, and will not really be visible.

Yeah I think we're going to start by cutting the floor. And then we can put a metal threshold plate so it can't get stuck again! Here's a zoomed out photo. Also there is nothing remarkable about the space between the top of the dishwasher and the cabinet!

Yes, do that. There appears to be plenty of space above the dishwasher so there may be something underneath the countertop -- for example, a support -- that the dishwasher is caught on.

Oh yes, there is something remarkable about that. Normal DW alcoves do NOT have any wood at the top. Your alcove is both too short, and too narrow both. It needs more wood cut out to really fit correctly. You might as well start with cutting out the top cross piece, and see if that will release the DW. It will have to go regardless. Same with the width. You didn't allot enough width. It's jammed in there good.

Actually, if you look at the first photo, there appears to be adequate space between the top and sides of the dishwasher and the cabinet. The specs say that the dishwasher requires only 1/4" or less at the top. The dishwasher may be jammed into the cabinet at the rear which would explain why they can't lift it to remove it.

Another idea: Take a metal yard stick and shove it between the dishwasher and the cabinet. Slide it all the way around; it should reach the back of the cabinet everywhere (sides and top). If it gets stuck, you'll know where the dishwasher is jammed against the cabinet.

It's also possible that the space for the dishwasher is a little narrower at the back, and pushing the appliance into that very narrow opening has gotten it jammed at the sides, especially if there are any bolt heads on the sides of the appliance that aren't flush with the chassis.

So why was it stuck? Were the front feet caught under the edge of the flooring?
