I think best decided in the context of the space. The appeal will vary based on the eye of the beholder. Your preference matters here.

these but since I want to lighten things up many of the mid to upper tier LVPs have a bevel that stands out

As soon as I find something with less of a bevel the pattern is too monotone.

These samples change dramtically in different lighting. One warms up and the other grays out.

Whereas above its the opposite.

too much gray is a downer.

Are you looking at it at night and in low light?

First pic was low light and the second pic was just moving it 15’ next to a window

The gray is awful on both. Move to something that looks like real wood.

I abhor bevels. Why are they manufactured that way? I have LVT in my kitchen and I made sure it didn't have bevels. All LVP is obviously not real wood, bevels aren't going to make anyone think it is, so why not make it easy to clean?

We elimianted any strong bevel LVP for that reason - its like introducing grout lines. They trap dirt and brutal to clean

I can't agree more.

The bevel has long sailed. Why? Because a sanded/finished on site hardwood flooring install would have no bevel whatsoever. Zero.

From Engineered to LVP...any wood, and any "mime" ? Ditch the bevel.

For ANY finished flooring selection? You order a full box, lay it out, and test on your site, in your home in your lighting, before a full order is placed.

Bevels are not attractive and I have lVP in my walkout not one bevel to be seen. Pick a different type of LVP As for how it looks in your lighting make sure all your lighting is the same everywhere. I love LED 4000K but 3500K works anything lower takes on ayellow cast .
