Wow you are so fortunate that you can grow this outside in a container! I'm envious. Maybe something in the senecio family would have a similar look. I love the one that looks like little dolphins.

@popmama (Colorado, USDA z5) Othonna capensis THRIVES in zone 9b winter. I actually cannot find a way to make it stop growing, once it establishes. The first six months can be tricky in a very dry soil like pure pumice. It flowers in December!

I grow all the Senecio "String of" plants. When you get it right they are spectacular. But I find they are tricky and can easily suffer from too little and too much water.

Ok, so senecio is out!d How about Ceropegia? I found Ceropegia linearis super easy going outdoors in the summer here. Or dischidias? Or Delosperma?
