Cute home! I would use the white bench for a season, and see how you like it. Also - consider painting your garage doors and entry door. They look like dark "holes" in your image. Perhaps the blue color from your siding for the garage doors, and a much lighter tone of the same color, or mustardy-yellow, or white, for the front door.

yes to using the polywood bench. I love polywood products ours works great in our current coastal area.

You could also use some plant boxes but ask your local garden supply for a boxwood or some plant that needs NO care. No water, no sun just some shrub that can grow when you are away. Something that would get a bit of rain or sun.

There is something called a Cast Iron plant that is really hard and can even deal with below freezing temps that looks great in a box or pot.
