google nest thermostat wiring help pls

We are replacing our old thermostat with the Google nest thermostat. on our old thermostat there is a jumper wire between our Rc and Rh. On the new nest thermostat there is no RC and rh slot. So what do I do since I have a jumper wire? Do I just stick the R wire in the R slot?

Yes connect the red wire to the R terminal on the Nest thermostat. Older thermostat had the ability to connect to two independent transformers for heating (Rh) and cooling (Rc). The Nest thermostat does not support this feature. The jumbper wire indicates your wiring has only one transformer so this is not an issue.
