I wish we had trees that big in Minnesota. I don't think it's possible with how short our growing seasons can be. Unless the tree is over 500 years old, I suppose. Or an Eastern cottonwood.

Dave, I went to your link (cool site, BTW) and first thing on the page is a national champ northern catalpa (which I just posted a thread on), and their location for it is incorrect! They have it listed as La Plata, CO! It isn't, it's near Burlington, OH,.....

beng, good catch on the catalpa, Gathering Growth needs to edit the location - they're only off by about 1400 miles ;) The American Forests champion tree registry has the correct location (although they misspelled the county name).
