I often think pulling the siding color from the brick mortar can work well - can you post the colors you mention above so folks don’t have to go hunt for them?

when you say ”depth” of siding - do you mean height?

I would say on the larger side, this skinny ABC siding job looks too fussy to me but personal opinion for sure

You have a huge expanse of dark gray roof. Pale sage would harmonize with warm brick and contrast with all that dark roof. These pillars might work. So would warm cedar clad pillars.

The gray/green shades from housegal could be a nice if it appeals to you. Just wanted to say it’s a lovely house.

These are Benjamin Moore. I like the Herb Bouquet.

Moody deep blues are very much in style in the newer neighborhoods near us.

But, be advised that steel siding does fade over time as evidenced in our 30 year old neighborhood, so take that into consideration as you select a color. Perhaps the technology for uv protection on steel siding has improved in the last 3 decades?

I’ve attached the two new color choices that ABC introduced last fall, “Ocean Blue” and “Iron Gray”. Also added a link (https://abclakesarea.com/siding-swatches/ ) of their steel siding colors.
I tested out the blue on our house and we are not fans of that color. Attach a pic of the area I painted.

My husband thinks we should go with the “Willow” color siding.

Willow vs Sage. Willow looks close to what you have currently. Have you considered the Sage?

Also, you can see the lighter tone of new shingles on the pics I just attached above.

La_La Girl, I was referring to the height of the siding. I agree that a short height would not be right.

Jackow-skib, after listening to the comments above, I think going with sage rather than willow would be nice.

Other views of the brick and sage house. I'm not sure why you're considering colors that will make the siding blend with the large roof, which will again overpower the front of the house as it does now. The top of the house is top heavy. A dark color might look good next to the brick, but you have far more roof than brick. Try using a colorizer at the paint store to try different colors. Better yet, hire a color consultant to help you choose. They'll evaluate your house in different lighting and factor in seasons, orientation, and how to prioritize the house over the roof.

I understand completely. A color consultant? Not sure where I would find one. I love in East Grand Forks, Minnesota.

What colors would you suggest?

Choose a sage that has some gray in it to harmonize with gray roof. Try out several sample paint colors on a large sample board next to brick at different times of day and different light conditions--sunny, cloudy, gray days. Try out a visualizer at the paint store. The paint store can show you how to try out different colors if you provide a clear, well-lit digital photo of your house.

We used Sherwin Wms‘ online color consulting for our exterior. It was actually very helpful. You might check with them.
