The best white for you depends on what else you have in the space, what other whites are already in there, and your lighting.

Your best bet is to get colors from Samplize and take them to the Viatera slab. Snowbound is not crisp And lighting in your space plays a big role in how white a white is. :)

For a crisp bright white with no undertones, look at BM Chantilly Lace.

SW Snowbound and SW Pure White are off-whites and not bright whites. The off-whites can look "white", but you can't have any other bright/pure white in the same space.

These are SW Extra White.

I was thinking the same about Snowbound not being that crisp. Samplize is nice since their swatches are the actual paint, not computer generated. You can also get sample cans of paint to test.

This blogger used Extra White through most of the house, including the kitchen. Obviously testing is key with your lighting, and you can’t go by anything online. I just think this looks nice.

clt3 - I remember the first time I saw your "bold" countertop + other decisions for your kitchen - and wondering how it was going to turn out when finished. I can't remember exactly how long ago that was - it was nice to see a kitchen that was different than the many all white kitchens that were being posted day after day (I have nothing against white kitchens - white kitchens have been around for a very long time for a reason).

Koza - selecting a white paint gives me STRESS! As shown above in clt3"s kitchen, SW Extra White does work for kitchen cabinets. You really need to sample different whites in your space in order to determine whether it would be too stark - or if it is a good selection for your space.

I spent more time selecting a white paint for the exterior of my house two years ago than I spent making all of the selections when I initially built my home! LOL!

thank you so much for your help. I purchased the 8x8 squares from SW a few weeks ago and keep moving them around. I always seem to like one more than the other based on the time of day and location around the cabinet and island. It is really driving me crazy!

What's crisp for one might be too bright for another. Personally, I don't like the SW whites.

I think BM has better white paints.

If you're able to consider Benjamin Moore paint, you'll find some better offerings. For example, BM Super White is a clean crisp white.
