White Tulip Dining room chairs

I recently bought a beautiful Glenn of California walnut dining room table and I think white tulip chairs would look really great with it. When I began shopping for them, I found many inexpensive ones ($80 - $200 ea) that looked exactly the same. I really couldn't see any differences between them, identical size etc. Then I found one source that was selling a "better" one for $500 ea, and then of course, there's the Knoll and DBR at $1500 each. My dining table is very nice I want to use a good quality chair. Can anyone comment on the differences, quality wise in these chairs. I can't afford the Knoll but don't want a cheap one that's going to fall apart in 3 years either.

Have you sat in them? I love the tulip table but I find the tulip chairs hard to move around and not very comfortable. Can’t comment on the quality of the knock offs

Years ago I wanted S shaped chairs for my dining room. I went to DWR and found Panton style chairs for approximately $400 per chair. Amazon had what appeared to be the exact same chair for about $100. Imo there was no difference between the two. I went with Amazon.

Try sitting on the most expensive one you can find and then order a cheap one that can be returned. See if you can tell the difference. Then make your decision.

The Knoll versions are molded fiberglass vs ABS plastic. ABS doesn't have strands for the level of strength you get with fiberglass. The Knoll seat pad has medical grade silicone foam vs some density of upholstery foam. There's lots on FB Marketplace.

Just in general, I might buy the better knock off, but I would assume the 80 or 200 was a real POS.
