Virtual help needed to enable me decide on how many pendants to hang?

I am in process of choosing pendant lights for my island. These are 12” and am wondering if i should hang 2 or 3. Can anyone virtually hang them? Will these look good, or is it too much white?

Instead of pendants I will suggest a long chandelier with one suspension rod. That should be easier to hang and (I think) will look better than having multiple pendant drops.

Can you change out the curly q bar stools? They don't complement the design of the kitchen

personally, I would skip a pendant or chandelier I think it will highlight all the angles - in this case, I think less is more

(agree that a more streamlined counter stool would fit the space - love these from CB2)

To see the pendants in scale use balloons on string. Blow them up to the right size and hang them from tacks.

Because of how the ceiling comes down on the left side I think you need 1 stem with multi lights. Different models and styles are available.

@BeverlyFLADeziner Thank you so much for the lihting suggestions. Yes stools are next to be changed, in a similar style you are showing.

@la_la Girl I thought of leaving without pendants, I know DH would prefer that, and save on Wiring/opening up 17’ ceilings. Love the stools as well.

@HALLETT & Co. Good idea re balloons! Thanks

@lisedv A linear pendant, may be considered as well. Thank you!

You have at least a hundred threads on this house?

You had one on the lighting issue prior to this. I would FIND it, and it strongly suggested a linear fixture as well............but? It can not be found, This is why.

    Houzz? are you listening?!

Fix this damn glitch!!!! Stop messing with this ridiculous switch to garden web from Houzz or link them!!

You have ruined the use of Houzz. and even more so from a phone.

    STOP!!!!!!!!!! Just please STOP.

There is no way to access previous posts by any op on ANY thread.

IMO pendants will look odd therewith that beam and call attention to the change in the ceiling height that is odd. . I would however do the stools and someting simpler and in a color

An off centered island, with an off centered beam, in an off centered vault, where NOTHING is aligned, definitely does NOT need off centered, or even centered (to WHICH WHAT?) pendants, drawing a huge "HUNH??" to the design discordance.

Stick with recessed lights. Keep the focus closer to the floor. It is unfortunate that you did not take the opportunity during the demo to make the ceiling all one height.

Fix the higgledy piggeldy ceiling issue yhat should have been already been fixed if you want pendants.

Post as many questions as you like and ignore the person trying to control what happens here, she is not the boss of us and could stroll on by if she doesn't want to answer here. With the existing track lighting, I'm not sure I would hang another fixture. Also, your island is so long, I worry that a linear light will look dwarfed above it unless you get a really long one. I might think about a long unobtrusive one, if you need more lighting...or even more track lighting at the ceiling running the direction of the island.

Nobody is Bossing anyone. It is helpful to see the prior post and previous suggestions. And there were many, and a lot of them were linear. It avoids a lot of issues with her ceiling height and widens selection. They abound. Please take your PERSONAL distaste for me...........elsewhere. Or put your darn real NAME to your post.: )

Pouncing on someone for their number of posts seems pretty bossy. Why does my name matter to you? No one else but YOU is using their real name here.

Searching isn't that difficult. Here's one thread. https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/6468771/does-this-pendant-look-good-in-my-kitchen

I would match the trac lighting on the beam just put another on the other side.
