Help me choose a front door color

Would really appreciate some recommendations on best color for my front door. Front of house faces east. Here are (2) ideas: aubergine and salmon. Am open to more door color suggestions. Thank you in advance.

PROlast yearLooks like the house faces west. There will be a big build up of heat between the door and the storm door with a dark color.
I would stain the door.
Have you thought about a canopy for over the entrance?
